What is a Podcast?
Podcasting is a new way of delivering media that doesn't require the big expense of Broadcasting. Pod is an acronym for Playable On Demand. Anyone in the world with a computer and podcast receiving software can subscribe to any of the over 8,000 available podcasts. After subscribing to a podcast your computer will be able to automatically download any new episode of the podcast once it becomes available. After the file gets downloaded to your computer it can be listened to on the computer or transferred to an mp3 player, like an iPod, for listening whenever or wherever you'd like.

How do I get Podcast receiving software?
Version 4.9 of iTunes now has the ability to manage receiving Podcasts. There are also many other podcast receiving programs for all types of computers. Podcast receiving ability will eventually be in a future versions of Windows Media Player. To get free podcast receiving software today you can either use iTunes or iPodder. For iTunes point your web browser to www.apple.com/itunes/ then download and install the version for your operating system of choice. For iPodder point your web browser to ipodder.sourceforge.net then download and install the version for your operating system of choice.

How do I subscribe to the Pasadena Tabernacle Podcast?
Once you've installed your podcast receiving software add a new subscription to your list for Pasadena Tabernacle. The URL to use for the subscription is

To do this in iTunes click on the "Podcasts" icon in the source section. Then select "Subscribe to Podcast..." from the Advanced menu and enter the URL above.

How can I listen to the services without subscribing?
Simply point your web browser to our audio blog page or click on the link below. Then click on the service you would like to hear. You can also leave comments for each service if you'd like to share your thoughts.
