William B. Flinn
Bandmaster

Bill Flinn is a fourth generation Salvationist and the son of Salvation Army officers. In his professional career he serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association — the non-profit, volunteer organization that produces Pasadena’s famous Rose Parade and Rose Bowl Football Game.

In addition to his full–time position with the Tournament of Roses Association, Flinn serves as the lay leader of the Pasadena Tabernacle Band. He has been active in musical leadership in The Salvation Army for the past 40 years. Previously he has directed numerous musical groups including The Salvation Army’s Tournament of Roses Band, the Pasadena Tabernacle Songsters and the Tabernacle Youth Band. Under his leadership, the Tabernacle Songsters became known as one of the Army’s leading vocal ensembles. He has produced both choral and brass recordings and has directed numerous musical ministry tours throughout the world.

As a teenage conductor in Philadelphia, Flinn directed the Roxborough Citadel Band, the Philadelphia Citadel Youth Band and the PenDel Brass and Singers. He continues to serve as a guest conductor, speaker and faculty member at various music camps, institutes and conferences throughout North America.
