TWO
Strictly From Memories

This corps will continue until Jesus comes – Frances Dart

This is a corps with two histories – two paths about the same length, converging into a single highway. Each path brings its own personality to emerge in this present representation of a strong, vibrant, growing, ministering corps of The Salvation Army. It’s called the Pasadena Tabernacle.

This material is assembled from the memories of individuals, and memories are shaky things. They bounce in and out of consciousness with varying degrees of clarity – perceived through clouded lenses – sometimes triggered by feelings generated by who knows what. Names leap into awareness, refreshed with images, surrounded by feeling, then gradually fade.

Here are some that are written down. The page becomes your own safety deposit box. Some of these memories – reported by many – accurately depict important events of by-gone years, while others present private perception and personal meanings.

None of us claim to be historians. Citations, therefore, are rare.
