The Pasadena Social Service office is currently a crisis intervention office. Clients who come in for help are in need of one or more of the following: food, shelter, utility assistance, clothes and/or transportation.

Food
Can be given once every 90 days to the same family.

Emergency Placement
Families with child(ren) are placed in a local motel, since The Salvation Army does not have a shelter.

Utility Assistance
Given to clients who are in jeopardy of having their utility service (gas or electric) shut off.

Clothing Assistance
Given to clients who are homeless and without shelter.

Bus Tokens
Given to clients who have a confirmed doctor's appointment or job interview.

Taxi Vouchers
We now offer taxi vouchers to those clients who have no reliable transportation. These vouchers can be used for a number of different reasons, such as shopping, job interviews or doctor's appointments.

Furniture Assistance
Given to a client who is referred to us by another social service agency or church.

Appliance Assistance
Clients who are in need of a stove or refrigerator may receive help, if they are referred to us by another social service agency or church.

Blanket Distribution
We now offer this service to the homeless who are living in inclement weather conditions.
